For accountants

Clean the export without sending the ledger somewhere else.

Prepare bank exports, invoice lists, reconciliations, and client delivery files in the browser. FileGizmo does not connect to your accounting platform or retain a remote copy of the source.

Financial rows and client documents stay on this device. FileGizmo receives no ledger, statement, tax identifier, or output file.

The working set

Tools chosen for this job

Each tool makes a new output. Keep the original until you have reviewed the result.

Practical sequence

A reconciliation-friendly cleanup sequence

  1. Export a dated source file and preserve it unchanged. Record the account, period, row count, currency, and expected control total before editing.
  2. Inspect headers, delimiters, dates, decimal marks, leading-zero identifiers, blank rows, and formulas before choosing a transformation.
  3. Apply one clear operation at a time, such as deduplication or column extraction, and download a new file with a descriptive name.
  4. Compare row counts, totals, sample records, and exceptions with the preserved source before importing or sharing the result.

Professional boundary

Controls that remain outside the converter

  • FileGizmo does not reconcile accounts, interpret tax rules, validate journal treatment, or certify that a dataset is complete.
  • A structurally valid output can still contain incorrect dates, truncated identifiers, changed decimal conventions, duplicate business events, or missing rows.
  • Password protection is only one delivery control. Recipient access, password exchange, retention, backups, and downloaded copies remain your responsibility.

Clear answers

Questions before you begin

Does FileGizmo connect to accounting software?

No. The tools work with files you deliberately select in the browser. FileGizmo has no QuickBooks, Xero, ERP, bank-feed, or tax-platform connection.

How should I verify a cleaned export?

Preserve the source, then compare row counts, control totals, date ranges, currencies, selected records, blank fields, and an exception sample before import or delivery.

Will CSV to Excel preserve every workbook feature?

CSV has no formulas, styles, charts, macros, or multiple worksheets to preserve. The converter creates a straightforward XLSX table and protects risky formula-like cell values, but it does not recreate a rich source workbook.

Are client financial files uploaded?

No. Ordinary file tools process locally under a browser policy that blocks third-party file-processing connections. The downloaded output remains on your device or chosen storage location.
