The browser is preparing the sample.

The request count applies an origin test to every request the page makes. Same-origin page assets are not presented as off-origin traffic.

Check any tool yourself

This page measures one tool, but the same check works on every one of them with your browser's own developer tools, and needs no trust in anything this site reports. Open a tool, press F12 (or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac), choose the Network tab, and tick Preserve log. Then pick a file and run the tool.

Every row that appears is a request the page made. You will see the page's own scripts, styles and, for some tools, an engine or font loaded from this same site. On an ordinary file tool you will not see a request whose size is the size of your file, and none goes to another domain; the AI tools that use your own key are the one exception, described below. The Content Security Policy in the response headers, under the page's own request, is what enforces that: it lists the only places the page is allowed to connect to.

If you ever see a request that carries your file, or one to a site you do not recognise, report it through the contact page. It would be a bug, and it would be treated as the most serious kind.

Test it offline

Open this page once while connected and wait for the proof run to finish. Then disconnect the network, reload, and press the button. The cached page, sample, and processor continue to work locally.

The first visit needs a connection. Clearing site data removes the cache, and a tool with a large engine may need its own assets loaded once before it can work offline.

Measured quality

Local does not have to mean worse. The background removal benchmark publishes how accurately and how fast the background remover cuts out test scenes whose true transparency is known exactly, with the device and date of the run.

When a file does leave your device

The Address to coordinates tool cannot derive map coordinates offline. It sends each address and a user-supplied API key directly to Geoapify. That permission exists only on that route. The full CSV is not sent to FileGizmo.

Bring your own key is not an ordinary local-only file tool. Provider mode is off by default. After you enable it, extracted document text and your key go directly from this browser to OpenAI. FileGizmo does not receive the key, the original document, or the extracted text.

Every ordinary file tool keeps the stricter same-origin connection policy described on the security page.
