Resize PDF pages in three steps
A US Letter document sent to someone who prints on A4 loses its bottom lines or gains a white band, and a mixed file of scans, slides and forms prints at a different scale on every page. Changing the paper size once, in the file, fixes both before anyone presses Print.
How the pages are fitted
Every page is placed on the new sheet and centred. With Scale to fit, it is made as large as fits inside the margins while keeping its proportions, so a Letter page on A4 shrinks by about three per cent and a small receipt grows to fill the page. With Only shrink larger pages, a page that already fits keeps its size. With Keep the size, nothing is scaled, which suits a document that must print at exactly 100 per cent, and the result counts any page too big for the sheet.
Margins are in millimetres and apply to all four sides. Custom sizes are in millimetres too.
Nothing is rendered
The page content is not turned into a picture. A transform in front of each page does the scaling, so the text stays selectable and searchable, the file stays roughly the size it was, and links, comments and form fields move with the content. Content that sat outside the old visible area stays hidden. The document is changed by a worker in your browser and never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Does resizing blur the text?
No. Each page keeps its own content and is scaled with a transform, the way a printer scales a page to fit. Text stays text and vector drawings stay sharp at any zoom.
What does each scaling choice do?
Scale to fit makes every page as large as fits inside the margins, growing small pages and shrinking large ones. Only shrink larger pages leaves a page that already fits at its own size and centres it. Keep the size centres every page at 100 percent, which cuts off the edges of a page larger than the new sheet, and the result says how many were.
What happens to landscape pages?
With Match each page, a landscape page goes on a landscape sheet and a portrait page on a portrait one. Choose Portrait or Landscape to put every page the same way round.
Do links and form fields still work?
Yes. Their positions are moved by the same scale and offset as the page content, so a link still sits over the words it belongs to and a form field over its box.
