Extract PDF Pages in three steps
FileGizmo’s page extractor copies selected PDF pages into one new document without sending the source file to a server. It suits a focused handout, an evidence bundle, an application excerpt, or a shorter reading copy taken from a long report. Enter individual pages or inclusive ranges such as 1, 3-5, 9, then download the result.
Extraction is additive rather than destructive, and that is the reason to prefer it over deleting pages when the excerpt is going to someone else. A blank document is created and only the pages you named are copied into it, so nothing from the pages you left out travels along inside the file. Deleting the unwanted pages from a copy of the original reaches a similar-looking result while carrying more of the original document in the bytes.
Pages are copied as objects, not pictures of themselves, so text stays selectable, vector artwork stays sharp, and images keep their original resolution. Repeated references are dropped, so 3, 3-5 yields one copy of page three rather than two.
The order you type is the order you get. Entering 9, 1-3 puts page nine first, which is a quick way to pull an appendix to the front of an excerpt. A range has to run upwards, so 5-2 is refused with a suggestion to write 2-5, and a page beyond the end of the document is reported with the real page count instead of being ignored.
Some document-level furniture does not survive, because it never belonged to a page. Bookmarks and the outline live on the document, so the extract starts without them, and any internal link pointing at a page you excluded has nothing left to resolve to. Check the cross-references before circulating an excerpt from a structured report.
The source file stays on your device throughout. Extraction is usually applied to exactly the documents worth protecting, such as medical notes, tenancy paperwork, or a contract where only three pages are anyone else’s business, and none of it is uploaded to find that out.

Frequently asked questions
Which range formats are accepted?
Use individual pages or inclusive ranges such as 1, 3-5, 9.
Is this different from splitting a PDF?
Yes. Extraction combines the pages you choose into one new document.
Are links and page quality preserved?
Page objects are copied directly, though links to pages excluded from the new document may no longer resolve.
Does extraction upload my document?
No. The new PDF is assembled in a local browser worker.
