Simple by design

Watermark PDF in three steps

Add a clear diagonal text watermark to contracts, drafts, previews, internal reports, or review copies without sending the PDF to a server. Enter text such as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, or a recipient name, then choose its size and opacity. Apply it to every page or target ranges such as 1-3, 8.

FileGizmo centers and rotates the watermark across each selected page while respecting different page dimensions. The original PDF content remains intact and selectable because pages are not rasterized. The watermark is embedded as page content using a standard PDF font, keeping the output broadly compatible without loading external font files.

Processing happens entirely inside a dedicated browser worker. The source document and watermark text stay on your device, and no account is required. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Watermarks discourage casual redistribution and clarify document status, but they are not digital-rights management; advanced PDF editors may still alter page content.
