ihatepdf.cv vs FileGizmo

Two products share the iHatePDF name
Before comparing, check the address. ihatepdf.cv says all PDF processing happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded, and it claims 64 tools. ihatepdf.com is a separate service with 35 or more tools, which processes files on its servers and deletes them immediately, keeping them for an hour at most, with a browser mode you can switch on. A search for “ihatepdf” can land on either.
“In your browser” is a claim about each tool, not the whole site
Local processing covers the ordinary jobs: merging, splitting, compressing, converting. The features that need a large model or a server are where the file can leave. ihatepdf.cv’s Chat with PDF uses Google Gemini. Aservus says it works locally when possible but sends heavy tasks to its servers and deletes them after an hour. FileGizmo’s AI tools send the document to OpenAI on your own key, and only after you confirm.
So read the tool, not the homepage. A site can process most files locally and still upload for one feature.
What each covers that the other does not
ihatepdf.cv converts PowerPoint in both directions, turns PDF text into speech, and transcribes MP3, WAV and M4A recordings into a PDF. FileGizmo does none of those.
FileGizmo covers work beyond PDFs, with background removal, image compression, CSV conversion, and text and developer tools, all under the same no-upload rule. On PDFs it changes existing text with Edit text, though the replaced words stay in the file unless those pages are exported as images. It removes marked text for good with Redact PDF, and runs OCR on your device.
The smaller in-browser toolkits
HonestPDF lists about 60 tools and says it works offline after the first load. ClientPDF has 30 tools, installs as an offline app, and includes redaction and a metadata sanitizer. QuicklyPDF keeps to four jobs, merge, split and image conversion, with three free operations a day and a $7.99 one-time Pro upgrade. All of them are free to start and ask for no account.

Is ihatepdf.cv the same as ihatepdf.com?
No. ihatepdf.cv claims 64 tools that run in the browser. ihatepdf.com lists 35 or more tools that process files on its servers by default, with an optional browser mode, and deletes them immediately or within an hour.
Which in-browser PDF tools work offline?
HonestPDF says it works offline after the first load, and ClientPDF can be installed as an app that works without internet. Check the tool you need before relying on it offline.
