Merge PDF files

Combine reports, invoices, scans, forms, or chapters into one PDF without transferring confidential documents to a server. FileGizmo reads every selected file locally and copies its pages into a new document in selection order. Original page dimensions, vector graphics, text, and embedded images remain intact because pages are not converted into screenshots.

Choose two or more PDF files in the order you want them to appear. The processing work runs in a dedicated browser worker, keeping the interface responsive and ensuring the selected files never leave your device. When the merge is complete, FileGizmo reports the final page count and output size before download.

The tool is designed for ordinary, unlocked PDF documents. Password-protected files need to be decrypted by their owner first. Very large documents are limited mainly by available device memory, so desktop browsers are preferable for hundreds of image-heavy pages. The generated file uses modern PDF object streams to avoid unnecessary overhead while preserving source quality.

Merging is useful when a task has been assembled in pieces. You might combine a cover letter with a portfolio, place receipts behind an expense form, join monthly statements, or turn scanned chapters into one archive. Before processing, rename confusing source files and choose them in the intended sequence. The browser picker’s order becomes the document order, so this quick check prevents a polished output with pages in the wrong place.

FileGizmo copies complete pages; it does not edit the text inside them or force every page to one paper size. A landscape spreadsheet can therefore sit beside an A4 letter without cropping. Mixed page sizes are valid in PDF readers, although printing may require “fit to page” settings. If individual pages need rotation, deletion, or rearrangement, make those changes first and then merge the finished documents.

The new file is independent of the originals. Download it, open several transition points, and confirm the page total before sharing or deleting source material. Existing interactive forms, annotations, unusual embedded media, or digitally signed documents can behave differently after pages are copied. A visible certificate signature may remain on a page, but the original document-level cryptographic validation generally should not be assumed to survive a merge.

No remote storage means there is no upload progress bar, retention policy, or server cleanup promise to evaluate. The browser reads the files you selected, builds the result in local memory, and releases temporary data when the page is closed. For especially sensitive records, you can verify that behavior yourself in the Network panel while merging.

Before delivery, open the merged copy and check the first page, every file boundary, and the final page. Confirm that bookmarks, links, forms, and attachments needed by the recipient still behave as expected. Keep the separate originals until the combined document has passed that review and its destination has accepted it.
