Simple by design
Crop image in three steps
Crop photographs, thumbnails, product images, profile pictures, and presentation graphics to a consistent aspect ratio without uploading them. Choose square, standard landscape, widescreen, or portrait. FileGizmo calculates the largest centered crop that fits the selected ratio and removes equal excess from opposing edges.
The image is never stretched. Original pixels within the selected area retain their proportions, and the result keeps the source format. The preview shows the final composition, pixel dimensions, and output size before download. Center cropping works especially well when the subject is near the middle of the frame; manual focal-point controls can be added later without complicating this focused first version.
All decoding, crop calculation, canvas drawing, and encoding happen inside a dedicated browser worker. The source file stays on your device and no account is required. For faster websites, crop first, resize to the intended display dimensions, and then compress the result as the final optimization step.
