Prepare the dimensions and KB range before the portal rejects your upload

The rules every portal shares, the full list of presets and how each size was checked are on the exam photo and signature resizer. This page keeps to UPSC: the official numbers above come from the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2026 notice, and its preset is already chosen in the tool.

Everything you need

Official-source presets

Each preset names its source and verification date. When a current notice does not publish numeric limits, the tool says so and asks for the values shown by the live portal.

Dimensions and bytes together

Resize, crop or pad, find the clearest JPEG quality under the ceiling, and see the exact pixels, final KB and whether the range was met before you download.

Signature cleanup, name, date and DPI

Turn a grey photographed signature into dark ink on white paper, print your name and the photo date in a strip under the face, and write 200 or 300 DPI into the file when a notice asks for them.

Nothing is uploaded, and you can verify it

Processing runs on this device. Open the browser’s Network panel while the tool works and you will see no file upload request to FileGizmo. Temporary previews use local browser URLs, and closing or resetting the page releases them instead of leaving a server copy behind.

No limits, no watermarks

Use the tool without a daily task counter, account wall, output watermark, or artificial upload cap. FileGizmo does not meter a transfer it never receives. Available memory, processor speed, browser canvas limits, and the file format itself set the practical limit.

Works on any device, and offline after first load

Use a current browser on desktop, Android, iPhone, or iPad without installing an app. Once this tool and its required assets load, the cached workflow works without a connection. Large jobs are usually more comfortable on a desktop with additional memory.

Frequently asked questions

Does FileGizmo guarantee that an exam portal will accept my image?

No tool can guarantee acceptance because portals can change rules and also inspect pose, background, clarity, identity, or live capture. FileGizmo verifies the selected dimensions, JPEG format, and byte range; you must confirm the active notice and inspect the preview.

Why does the UPSC option ask me to use custom values?

The UPSC Civil Services 2026 notice requires an uploaded photograph, live photograph, and three signatures, but it does not publish one universal pixel or KB limit. FileGizmo will not present an unsupported number as official.

Will a photograph be stretched to fit?

No. Photograph presets open a centred crop box in the required shape, which you can move and resize. Signature presets preserve the whole image and add white padding where needed.

Can the tool hit both a minimum and maximum file size?

It searches JPEG quality below the maximum. When a valid image is naturally smaller than a stated minimum, FileGizmo adds a standards-compliant empty JPEG comment segment without changing visible pixels, then verifies the final byte count.

Are my application photos or signatures uploaded?

No. Decoding, resizing, JPEG encoding, byte adjustment, preview, and download happen in a dedicated browser worker on your device.
